THE SNOW LEOPARD de Pema Tseden (Chine-Tibet) – La relation mystérieuse entre le moine et le léopard des neiges révèle la vision traditionnelle du monde du peuple tibétain – un royaume d’émotions spirituelles qu’il est difficile d’exprimer. Le réalisateur capture habilement ce monde enchanteur avec une grande précision, ce qui en fait une réalisation remarquable et profondément émouvante.

THE SPARK de Rajesh Jala (Inde) par un visuel fort et une métaphore du feu et de la colère, parce que la colère et la haine détruisent la société, parce que nous brûlons comme le feu, notre vie n’est que temporaire.

SUNDAY de Shokir Kholikov (Ouzbékistan) – Le jury de la critique a choisi de récompenser un film dont la composition graphique et l’art du détail l’a particulièrement touché. Les trois membres du jury ont été bouleversées par la capacité du réalisateur à rendre poétique la représentation de la vie quotidienne d’un couple rural et austère confronté bien malgré lui à la modernisation de la société.
Mention spéciale : THE SPARK de Rajesh Jala. Le jury de la critique remet une mention spéciale à un film dont la photographie et la philosophie l’ont ébloui. Chacun des plans est léché pareil à une peinture de grand maître. Le réalisateur aborde avec brio un sujet ancré dans l’actualité de la société indienne.
